President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the terms of conscription to serve in the Ukrainian army and the timing of retirement. The decree of December 29 was posted on the website of the head of state.

In 2022, conscriptions will run from April to June, as well as from October to December.
Dismissals are also scheduled for April-June and October-December.
The draft commissions will begin work on April 1 and October 1, 2022, and preparatory activities will begin a month before these dates.
The President’s Office recalled that conscripts are not recruited to carry out combat missions in the zone of operation… Conscripts are primarily involved in recruiting arsenals, bases, warehouses, ammunition storage centers, as well as in positions related to ensuring the life of military units at permanent deployment points (except for those located in the Donbass).
Students will not be eligible for conscription - they are given a deferral to receive education for the entire period of study. The postponement is also granted to citizens undergoing military training under the program for training reserve officers at universities, as well as for family reasons, to continue their professional activities and for health reasons.
