New Delhi, June 1 (agency)
ABIL Group Chairman Avinash Bhosale has been brought to Delhi for questioning by the CBI who was arrested from Mumbai in connection with the alleged corruption case related to Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor and DHFL’s Kapil Wadhawan. Officials gave this information on Wednesday.
He said Bhosale was being questioned in Mumbai and brought to the national capital on Tuesday night. Officials said the agency is probing whether the Yes Bank and DHFL scams have their roots in well-known builders in Maharashtra. Officials said the agency had on April 30 searched the premises of major builders in the state in connection with the probe into the matter. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had arrested Bhosale in 2020 in connection with the case registered against Kapoor and the Wadhawans. The agency had recently arrested Sanjay Chhabria of Radius Developers in this case.
It is alleged that Kapoor, in connivance with the Wadhawans, conspired to provide financial benefits to DHFL through Yes Bank through companies of his family members for personal gain.
