Will fight alone with power in the House on public issues: Umashankar Singh, the only MLA of BSP in UP

Baliya :

Umashankar Singh, the only BSP MLA from Ballia’s Rasra assembly constituency, will play the role of opposition on all issues of the public from the ruling party while being the leader in the only house of his party. Denying outright the issue of going to BJP or cooperating in power, Umashankar Singh said in a conversation with NDTV that, BSP was not the B team of BJP. Rather, she was fighting the BJP in the true sense. But the people voted for it considering a direct fight with the SP, which benefited the BJP. Rejecting the speculation of supporting the ruling party as his party’s lone MLA, he said that he would continue to raise public issues in the House and play the role of the opposition well.

After becoming MLA from BSP for the third time from Rasra, Umashankar Singh said that this time I got a tough challenge, while I did a big development of the area in my assembly constituency with my own resources. When he was asked this question that your 10 percent vote share has decreased and you have come alone by electing from your party, in response he said, “The biggest reason for this is our media world. Who spread the rumor that BSP BJP has B team. This rumor spread so fast in the middle of the elections that all the strong candidates we had. They also could not get votes accordingly.”

At the same time, answering the question of Mayawati’s silence and distribution of tickets, the BSP MLA said, “We have given tickets to such candidates, whom the common man cannot say that they will lose. In this sequence, we have given Zahoorabad seat.” She had given ticket to Syeda Shadab Fatima. She has been a three-time legislator minister. Apart from this, she also has a personal vote bank there.”

On the question of BSP’s vote bank slipping due to free ration, Umashankar Singh said, “Yes it is true that BSP’s vote bank has shifted to BJP. But it is also a fact that BJP has got free ration from its party fund. It is not given. had money.”
