There is a wave of mourning in the whole world due to the death of the great Brazilian footballer Pele. Pele’s funeral will be held on Monday at the ground where he played some of the most memorable matches of his career. Pele’s club Santos said in a statement that people would be able to pay their last respects at the Villa Belmiro stadium. Edson Arantes do Nascimento, or Pele, died on Thursday after a long battle with cancer. He was 82 years old. Santos said the casket with three-time World Cup champion Pele’s body would leave the Albert Einstein Hospital on Monday morning and be placed in the center of the field. Darshan will open for the public from 10 am and will continue till 10 am the next day. Pele’s funeral procession will wind through the streets of Santos and pass in front of the home of his centenary mother, Celeste. Pele’s mother cannot get out of bed. He will be buried at the Memorial Necropole Acumenica in Santos.
