VIP criminals to stay with prisoners in Punjab jails

CHANDIGARH, MAY 14 (TRINUE)

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced to eliminate VIP culture from the jails of the state. The Chief Minister has issued orders to abolish the VIP barracks built in all the jails of the state and convert them into manageable complexes. Bhagwant Mann released a video on Saturday saying that the previous governments of Punjab never paid attention to this. The prisons which have been named as correctional houses have remained rest houses for the politicians.

During the last fifty days, 710 mobile phones have been recovered by conducting a search operation in the jails of Punjab. In this case, action has also been taken against many officers posted in jails. He said that any leader whom the court punishes as a criminal in any case, he becomes a VIP as soon as he enters the jail. There he gets a separate room and lives a life of luxury.

Administrative complex will be built

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has issued orders to convert VIP barracks built in all the jails of Punjab into managerial complexes. It has been decided how these VIP barracks will be used. All the prisoners coming to the jail will be the same, only the difference between normal and hardcore prisoners will be there. Bhagwant Mann said that the new orders are being implemented with immediate effect. Despite this, if any jail officer is found giving VIP facilities to any leader coming to the jail, then strict action will be taken against him.
