Charkhi Dadri, 22 July (NIS)
Along with three villages, the patience of the villagers broke when the power supply was interrupted for several days in the crusher zone. Apart from three villages, crusher operators reached the power house of village Khedi Battar on Saturday and locked the gate while taking out the employees. During this, the villagers protested against the government and the corporation while shouting slogans.
The power house located at village Khedi Battar supplies electricity to the nearby villages as well as the crusher zone. Due to power cuts day and night for many days, electricity is available only for three to four hours. Due to this, apart from the crusher operators, hundreds of villagers of villages Khedi Bura, Khedi Battar and Dhani, under the leadership of the head of the crusher union, Naveen Sangwan, created ruckus for a long time by evicting the employees of the power house. On the spot, the villagers called Badhda MLA Naina Chautala and Electricity Minister Ranjit Chautala and narrated their problems.
Advocate Naveen Sangwan, Villager Sumitra Devi, Jaswant, Ramphal Fauji, Ashok and Jai Bhagwan etc. told that the land was made available for the power house by the gram panchayat. So that 24 hours electricity can be available to them. Despite this, apart from the three villages around it, electricity is also being disrupted in the crusher zone for several days. Due to connecting power from another power house, there are continuous cuts. Now if there is no concrete solution, then the employees will be taken out and the power house will be closed indefinitely.
SDO gave assurance, opened the lock
Ashish Sodhi, SDO of the Electricity Corporation, who reached the spot after about three hours, assured the villagers that the line from the Charkhi feeder would be made operational soon after getting it closed from the second feeder. Also assured to fix the electricity problem in a week. Soon the problem will be completely resolved. After this the villagers opened the lock.
