Veteran Puerto Rican rapper Vico Cknown as “The Rap Philosopher”, will release a new album next May under the Nain Music label, a division of Rimas Entertainment, his first in almost 15 years after “Babilla” (2009).
“In these times where the need for pure content in music is great, a platform is opened to be able to continue what I have always done with my songs: touch hearts and make revolution in a lost society,” Vico C said in a statement sent by Nain Music this Thursday.
”That is why I think that the most important thing in my union with Nain/Rimas is the freedom that I have been given to express what I want”, highlighted Luis Armando Lozada Cruz, the first name of the veteran urban artist.
The new songs on the album will bring new trends and mark a before and after in Latin music, just as it did in the 90s when he put rap in Spanish on the radar with songs like “Me Acuerdo”, “Bomba To Afincar”, “La Recta Final” and “Viernes 13″, highlighted Nain Music in the text.
“It is a privilege to have and work with an artist of Vico’s stature and career, whose greatest legacy to Latin music and the new generations has yet to be delivered,” said Fidel Hernández, president of Nain Music, at the release.
