The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification to implement the Central Service Rules for the employees of Chandigarh. According to the notification, these rules will be called the Union Territory of Chandigarh Employees (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2022 and will come into force from April 1. According to the notification, the condition of service of persons appointed to services and posts in Group ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ under the administrative control of the Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh and related services and posts in the Central Civil Services of the Government of India. The conditions of service of the appointed persons shall be the same and shall be governed by the same rules and orders. Group ‘D’ will also be included in this.
In sub-rule (1) of the notification a person appointed to the services and posts under the administrative control of the Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh may be transferred from one Department to another, unless such transfer shall result in pay and Allowances, seniority or promotion and all other financial benefits shall not be affected.
