Raj Bawa and Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who scored centuries, gave India a huge score. Raj Bawa scored 162 not out off 108 balls for India, who won the toss and elected to bat. 14 fours and eight sixes were born from the star’s bat. Opener Angrish hit 144 off 120 balls with 22 fours and four sixes. The duo put up a 206-run stand.
Pascal Murungi was the only batsman to score 34 for Uganda, who batted with a target of 406. Only two players saw two in the team. For India, skipper Nishant Sindhu took four wickets while Rajvardhan took two wickets.
In the quarter finals, India will face a strong Bangladesh. The quarter-finals will be played on January 29. Covid’s capture saw India play with six substitutes.
