Ukraine War: Air Force plane reached India carrying 119 Indians, 27 foreigners

Russia’s attack on Ukraine After India’s Operation Ganga has got another success. An Indian Air Force aircraft carrying 119 Indians and 27 foreigners from Bucharest, the capital of Romania, landed at Hindan Air Force Station here on Thursday morning. Sources said that these Indian and foreign civilians were trapped in the war-torn country due to Russia’s military attack on Ukraine that began on February 24. Operated to evacuate people from Ukraine that this was the 17th flight of the Air Force.

Ukraine’s airspace has been closed since February 24. In such a situation, India is evicting its citizens through neighboring countries of Ukraine like Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland.

Sources said the IAF’s C-17 military transport aircraft landed at Hindon Air Force Station at around 5:40 am on Thursday.

He told that the Minister of State for External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan welcomed Indians and foreigners at the Air Force Station.

Earlier on Sunday, it was informed that India has brought back its “more than 15,920” citizens in 76 flights as part of the evacuation operation ‘Operation Ganga’ launched after Russia’s military action against Ukraine.

The Indian Embassy in Hungary had indicated that the evacuation operation from the said country is nearing completion, as the last phase of flights is being started under this operation. India is bringing back its citizens via Romania, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova. Indian citizens have reached these countries by crossing the land border points of Ukraine. The first flight brought the stranded Indians back from Bucharest, the capital of Romania, on 26 February.
