LUCKNOW, APRIL 9 (AGENCY) The official Twitter handle of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office was hacked on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. A senior official of the state government gave this information. He said that the official Twitter handle of the Chief Minister’s Office was hacked late in the night for about 29 minutes. According to the official, the hackers had made about 400 to 500 tweets from the account. He said the account was suspended due to extraordinary activities and efforts are on to restore it. According to the official, the Twitter handle of the Chief Minister’s Office (@CMOffice) will be restored soon. More than 40 lakh people follow this account. Screenshots of the hacked Twitter handle were flashed by several websites. These reveal that the hackers had replaced the profile picture in the account with a cartoon one.
