In Querétaro, a group of 150 Central American migrants who were transported in the box of a trailer, were rescued this Wednesday night in the municipality of Pedro Escobedo.
In these facts, the authorities managed to arrest two ‘polleros’ originally from the State of Aguascalientes, who were the ones driving the trailer.
Querétaro authorities reported on the rescue of Central American migrants who were transported in inappropriate conditions.
The trailer was stopped when it was traveling on the federal highway Querétaro-Mexico in the municipality of Pedro Escobedo, bound for the neighboring country to the north.
When the police noticed the presence of the Central Americans inside the trailer, they immediately informed the Victims Assistance Group of the State Police, Civil Protection, as well as the Secretary of Health of the State of Querétaro, in order to provide comprehensive care to people.
In the first review, the authorities detected that the people transported had signs of slight dehydration, for which they were provided with the required assistance.
The detained ‘polleros’ were placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office for the crime of human trafficking.
The authorities reported that both people have records for various misdemeanors and crimes in their home state.
Within the operational deployment there was the participation of the State Police corporations, and the Secretaries of Security of Pedro Escobedo, El Marqués and Querétaro capital.
