The public transport union ratified it in a statement.
In another round between trade unionists and businessmen of a salary dispute that did not reach an agreement, the Automobile Tramway Union (UTA) confirmed that there will be a collective strike in the interior of the country by 48 hours and meanwhile this thursday and friday.
The reason, according to reports from the union, is due to the “refusal to agree on the salary increase for the personnel represented in Short and Medium Distance companies in the interior of the country.”
In the statement they inform that the service will only be provided in those jurisdictions that recognize the salary increase, under the same conditions as those resolved for the driving personnel of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires.
“Likewise, we inform that we will attend the hearing called by the Ministry of Labor of the Nation for tomorrow, Thursday 22 at 3:00 p.m., in the search for the salary solution that is denied to the workers represented.”
And it closes: “We urge those responsible for Transportation, companies, the Provinces and the National State, to take charge of the damage that the refusal to agree on salaries in the interior of the country will generate towards the users of our services and to social peace” .
