The Barça basketball players Brandon Davies, Dante Exum and Nigel Hayes ended their different stages in the Barça team this Wednesday, with the farewells they left on social networks and the renewal that the Catalan team plans.
The season for Sarunas Jasikevicius’s side ended in a bumpy fashion with heavy defeats at the hands of the eternal rival. Real Madrid dethroned Barça in the Endesa League, with a 3-1 win in the league final that ended last Sunday and, in addition, the white team was also the culé’s executioner in the Euroleague semifinals.
The Catalan rearmament seems to begin with the changes in a squad that, although it seemed more than capable, ended up below the performance it promised. For now, this Wednesday three players with different prominence took the step of saying goodbye to Jasikevicius. Davies arrived in the culé team in the summer of 2019, after also sharing a stage with ‘Saras’ at Zalgiris.
“I have spent three wonderful years in Barcelona, I have always tried to be honest and professional. I will never forget this club, the fans. It was an honor and a pride to wear these colors,” the American center wrote on his Instagram account.
In the same social network, Exum and Hayes said goodbye. The Australian Exum arrived at Barça last December, before Abrines, Higgins and Calathes were absent at the time, and won the contract until the end of the season with great personality and energy. “Thank you so much for an amazing season,” the shooting guard said.
“Although we did not achieve what we set out to do, I hope we have made you proud,” he added. Meanwhile, Hayes, who signed last summer but did not gain the trust of ‘Saras’, was the most succinct in his goodbye, in Catalan. “Thank you for everything. The experience has been a wonderful blessing,” he put on.
