The premiere of “Los García” is postponed at the Santurce Fine Arts Center

Due to the challenge facing Puerto Rico after the onslaught of hurricane fionawhere a large part of the population still remains without essential services such as water and electricity, the production of the play “Los García” has announced the postponement of its premiere for a week. This, in solidarity with the people and because part of the cast and production staff are going through the same thing.

The first performances that were previously scheduled for Friday, September 30, October 1 and 2 at the Santurce Fine Arts Center (CBA) will be rescheduled for Friday, October 14, Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16. Meanwhile, the functions of Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9 remain on their original date, being in these where the staging will touch the boards of the Festival Hall of the CBA, for the first time before the public.

“In order to guarantee the best possible experience, with a quality production and the right conditions for the full enjoyment of all those present, the most responsible thing to do is to postpone the premiere for a week,” expressed the producer of the event, Alexandra Fuentes.

The first three functions are almost completely filled so the same seat number as the original date will be honored. Fuentes concluded that, “although we know that now more than ever our people need to laugh and have a good time, in consensus we have decided that the ideal is to postpone the premiere of the return of Los García to Parque Florido, at least until the outlook has improved for our people. We are extremely grateful to those who, with their support, have allowed the magic of Los García to return to the theater and we are going to do everything in our power to provide the quality of the show they deserve.”
