The parliament told when they can consider the law on the right of Ukrainians to arms

A bill No. 5708 “On the Right to Civilian Firearms” has been introduced to the Rada, but has not yet been voted on. The parliament told when it can be accepted.

According to him, the bill is in the plans of legislative work for the current session (it ends on January 28 – ed.).

“It is likely that he will be voted on for the base,” Fries said.

At the same time, he added that this is not about the “legalization” of weapons. The document only regulates the issue stipulated by the Constitution regarding the legal regime of ownership of these objects, the people’s deputy emphasized.

In addition, the Interior Ministry believes that the use of weapons against people for the purpose of self-defense requires “a deep understanding and assessment of the readiness of citizens to handle weapons responsibly.”
