Novelist Nancy Crampton Brophy, who wrote an article titled ‘How to Murder Your Husband’, has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering her husband. Nancy Crampton Brophy, 71, was convicted on May 25 after a seven-week trial, KGW TV reported. He was sentenced on Monday. He can get parole after spending 25 years in jail.
Prosecutors said Crampton Brophy shot 63-year-old Dan Brophy inside the ‘Oregon Culinary Institute’ because she wanted money from Dan’s life insurance. This institute is now closed, Dan used to work there in 2018. The couple were facing financial troubles when Dan was murdered. Crampton Brophy learned about the ‘Ghost Gun’ kit from online forums, bought it, and then later at a ‘Gun Show’ also bought a Glock 17 handgun.
