Congress groups in Haryana – SRK i.e. Kumari Selja, Randeep Singh Surjewala and Kiran Chowdhary are preparing to hit the streets once again. This triumvirate of Congress, which surrounded the Manohar government on the issue of Common Eligibility Test (CET), is now going to make property ID a big issue.

Kumari Selja, Randeep Singh Surjewala and Kiran Chaudhary, who met the media in Chandigarh on Friday, alleged a scam of 60 crores in the name of Property ID. He said that people are being extorted in the name of issuing property IDs.

According to Congress leaders, flaws have been found in the property IDs of more than one crore people. Selja, Randeep and Kiran jointly said, if the government still does not correct these errors, does not stop corruption, then they will be forced to take the public on the streets. He has lodged an FIR against the company conducting the survey for Property ID and demanded an inquiry by the sitting judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Congress leaders said that the government has given a clean-chit to Jaipur-based company Yashi Consultant. He said that the statements of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Urban Local Bodies Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta are also different on this issue. The payment of crores of rupees made to the company by blacklisting it should be withdrawn.

He said that the ownership rights of the land have been changed. Multiple property IDs were made for the same house. Residential houses were shown in commercial. In many cases, property IDs of the occupants and tenants have been made. People’s phone numbers have changed. Due to wrong property ID, people are not even getting loans. He said that the sale and purchase of lands has stopped because of the property ID. Even if people sell or buy houses/plots, their registry is not done without property ID. People are roaming in the cities to get the property ID corrected. There is no hearing with their officers.

Congress leaders said that even the Chief Minister has accepted eight lakh defects, yet there is definitely a story behind the tender not being cancelled. He said that despite the wrong survey, about Rs 60 crore was paid to the Yashi company. Yashi’s contract has neither been canceled nor has he been blacklisted.

Kiran said that the government has handed over a bag to a member of the family, which contains different types of papers. With these papers, the family members roam around the cities, so that the mistakes of their property ID and family identity card can be rectified. He said that the government had rectified the mistakes in the Vidhansabha and assured action against the guilty company, but now the government has kept silence.
