New Delhi, June 2 (Agency) The Congress on Thursday said that its president Sonia Gandhi is infected with the coronavirus, though she will appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on June 8. Party’s chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala gave this information on Thursday. He said that the investigation was done on Wednesday evening after having mild fever and showing symptoms of Covid, in which it was found that Sonia Gandhi was infected with the corona virus. The ED on Wednesday issued summons to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi for questioning in a money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper. Sonia Gandhi (75) has been asked by the ED to appear at its headquarters in central Delhi on June 8, while Rahul Gandhi has been asked to appear on June 2.
