SIT to investigate Mohali blast, CM seeks report from DGP

SIT has been formed to probe the grenade attack in Mohali on Monday night. Apart from this, many teams of police will cooperate with the SIT.

After the Mohali incident, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took a report on the entire incident from DGP VK Bhavra on Tuesday morning. After this, the Chief Minister tweeted that the investigation of Mohali blast has been started by the Punjab Police. Anyone who has tried to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab will not be spared.

Meanwhile, AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that Mohali blast is a cowardly act of those who want to disturb the peace of Punjab. Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab government will not allow those people’s wishes to be fulfilled. Peace will be maintained under all circumstances with the cooperation of all the people of Punjab and the culprits will be punished severely.

After the grenade attack in the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has summoned a report from the DGP. After this incident on Monday night, Punjab DGP VK Bhavra reached Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday morning and briefed him on the whole incident. The building where the attack took place has CCTVs installed on every floor. This building comes under the High Security Zone. CCTVs were scanned overnight after the attack. The details of the people who came here during the last one week are being collected. According to the information received from CCTV, a Swift vehicle had come outside the headquarters on Monday night, a youth has also been seen descending from it, after which the attack took place. The police is now looking for this vehicle.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning, the DGP met Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and gave a preliminary report on the Mohali incident. Meanwhile, the forensic expert team also collected several samples from the spot. The Western Command of the Army is being contacted to get information about the grenade fired at the headquarters.
