Parents of late singer Sidhu Musewala met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Chandigarh airport on Saturday. In this meeting, Sidhu Musewala’s father had earlier demanded a meeting with the Home Minister to demand a central agency probe into the murder of his son. A few days back, when Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat went to Sidhu Musewala’s residence to offer condolences to his parents, the parents requested Amit Shah to meet him.
At that time Gajendra Shekhawat had told the parents that the Union Home Minister is coming to Chandigarh on June 4 and a meeting will be held with him. In the morning Musewala’s parents had left for Chandigarh from their residence in Punjab’s Mansa district. Musewala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Mansa on 29 May. According to the post-mortem report, there were 19 bullet marks on Musewala’s body.
