VTo sell or not to sell, that is the question. After the declarations of Benoît Cœuré, president of the Competition Authority, and Roch-Olivier Maistre, boss of Arcom, Thomas Rabe, CEO of Bertelsmann, arrives this weekend in Paris to settle this dilemma. Will he sell now, pocket around 1.2 billion euros for his 48.3% stake in M6 and cross his fingers that the failure of the operation does not repeat itself as with TF1 due to antitrust reluctance? Or finally not take the risk of a second failure and keep M6 with its stainless boss who only asks to continue, Nicolas de Tavernost? The latter seems seriously considering – hoping? – this second option.
