Sarrah Sidhu Musewala shot dead

CHANDIGARH/MANSA, 29 MAY (TRINUE)

Famous Punjabi singer and actor Shubhdeep Singh alias Sidhu Musewala (27) was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday. It should be noted that the Punjab government had withdrawn his security a day earlier. The incident took place when Moosewala was driving himself in his Thar car in the evening when he was going towards village Khara Barnala in his kinship. According to the information received, as soon as he reached Jawaharke village, some unidentified persons who came out of the two vehicles coming from the front opened fire on Moosewala’s vehicle. About 40 rounds of bullets were fired, out of which Musewala got seven bullets. Musewala died on the spot.

Musewala and his accomplices who were injured by bullets were rushed to Civil Hospital Mansa, where Musewala was declared brought dead by the doctors. Two of his accomplices, who were injured during the incident, have been referred out of Mansa. Both these youths, Pinka and Binta are residents of village Musa and they had boarded the car with him from Musa. As soon as the matter was reported, there was a stir all around and this news spread like wildfire. A large number of people gathered at the Civil Hospital in Mansa. According to Mansa Civil Surgeon Dr Ranjit Singh Rai, Musewala had already died before being brought to the hospital. After the death was confirmed, it became difficult for the police to control the people in the hospital. People also raised slogans against the Punjab government.

On getting information about the matter, SSP Gaurav Tura reached the spot along with the police team. The police have found some cartridges of cartridges from the crime scene. It is said that many of these shells are of AN-94. This Russian-made automatic weapon is part of the AK 74 series. This weapon can fire 1800 rounds per minute.

So far no clue has been found about the attackers. According to the information received, the fleeing assailants snatched his Alto car from a person and escaped after sitting in it. The attackers themselves came in two vehicles. police is investigating the matter.

People were also protesting against the withdrawal of Musewala’s security. Earlier eight security personnel lived with Musewala, but now only two were left and neither of them was with him at the time of the incident. Witnesses say that the attackers came in a black car and fired thirty to forty shots at Moosewala’s jeep. It all happened so fast that Musewala didn’t even get a chance to move from his seat.

Threat received from gangster

Sidhu Moosewala, who came into politics from the field of singing, had also received threats from the gangster. Although the police have not confirmed this yet, Musewala had also hired private security personnel. During this it is also discussed that Moosewala had spoken of helping Akali Dal (Amritsar) Simranjit Singh Mann for the by-election of Sangrur Lok Sabha seat. Some people are also connecting Sunday’s incident with this incident. Musewala this time contested the assembly election from Mansa on Congress ticket, but he was defeated by Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Dr. Vijay Singla by a margin of 63 thousand votes. Before joining politics, he had made his mother the sarpanch of village Musa. It is noteworthy that Musewala was the only son of the parents and was unmarried.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the brutal murder of Sidhu Musewala. No one involved in the attack will be spared. My condolences to his family and his fans around the world. I appeal to everyone to remain calm.

-Bhagwant Mann, Chief Minister- Punjab

Shocked to hear about Sidhu Musewala’s death in firing – not sharing the video obtained via WhatsApp due to sensitivity but he has been shot multiple times.

-Jaiveer Shergill, Spokesperson-Congress

Musewala’s murder proved that the government is being run by criminals and not Bhagwant Mann. The rule of law and order in Punjab has ended under AAP’s rule. Over 50 murders have taken place in the state in the last two months.
