In the National Sanitation Survey 2022, two cities of Haryana have made it to the top 100. Gurugram has been ranked 29th and Rohtak 56th in the cleanliness survey 2022. On the other hand, Dharuhera (25,000-50,000 population) and Bawani Khera (15,000-25,000 population) have got the award for Fast Moving City. Chandigarh, the capital of Haryana, Punjab, has moved to 12th position in cleanliness, last time its ranking was 66. Similarly, Panchkula of Tricity has improved from 99 to 86.
Ambala Cantt of Haryana is at 25th rank in the Cantonment Board based ranking. On the other hand, Haryana is included in the top 6 in overall progress and citizen vice progress, while in the category of small states, Haryana is on top. Haryana’s performance has improved a lot as compared to 2021. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar says that the government is very serious about cleanliness. The thinking of the government is that it is necessary for every person to be aware to make the city and village clean and beautiful. It is noteworthy that awareness programs are being run by the state government from time to time regarding cleanliness.
