Russian troops, who captured the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on February 24 during the invasion of Ukraine, have begun to leave the station and other exclusion zones. Ukraine’s nuclear company Energoatom gave this information. “This morning the invading troops expressed their intention to leave the Chernobyl nuclear power plant,” the Ukrainian Nuclear Company said. Russian troops marched towards the Ukrainian border with Belarus. A very small number of Russian soldiers also remain in the station.
