Since the day of the Russian invasion, in the Ukrainian capital 2,679 new births were registered.
“Every day in the capital little ones are born. They come into the world at a difficult time for our country, at a time in the struggle for freedom. And we believe that they will grow up in a free and strong country,” said Mykola Povoroznyk, first deputy chief of the kyiv state administration, quoted by the Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform.
Povoroznyk specified that 1,399 boys and 1,280 girls were bornincluding 59 twins since the arrival of Russian troops.
