Kyiv, June 11 (agency) A British military intelligence report says Russian bombers are using heavy anti-ship missiles used in the 1960s against ground targets in Ukraine, possibly to destroy nuclear-armed aircraft carriers. The report said that the use of 5.5-tonne KH-22 missiles with conventional warheads is inappropriate and can cause heavy damage and kill a large number of people. Britain’s Defense Ministry said in its daily update that Russia may use such weapons because it has less modern missiles. Russian forces are focusing their efforts on capturing the Donbass region in eastern Ukraine. The region is adjacent to Russia and has been partly occupied by pro-Russian separatists since 2014.
