Indian shooter Rudraksh Balasaheb Patil defeated compatriot Abhinav Sauv in a gold medal bout on Wednesday as India finished top two in the men’s 10m rifle event of the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany. Rudraksh defeated Abhinav 17-13 in the gold medal match. Both of them performed brilliantly in the first qualifying round to make it to the final of 8 shooters and then got the right to meet for the gold medal. All the three Indian shooters participating in the event made it to the finals. Parth Makhija reached the final after finishing fifth in the qualifying round. Abhinav got off to a good start in the final and was leading 4-2 after the first three shots. Rudraksh, however, made a quick comeback to overtake Abhinav and then retained the lead to claim the gold medal.
