The general meeting of The Residents Welfare Association Sector 37-B was held at the local community centre. The meeting was presided over by the outgoing president of the association, LK Arora, while the new president SP Batra welcomed all the invited members and appreciated the work done by the previous executive. Batra said in his address that under the chairmanship of outgoing president LK Arora, last year the association did unprecedented work to strengthen the association and also improved the public places of the area, including parks etc.

Outgoing President LK Arora said that all the members of the association had an invaluable contribution in making his tenure successful. He said that while the association worked as a bridge between the common citizens and the administration last year, it also played an important role in strengthening the security along with the beautification of the area with the help of the Municipal Corporation and the police. General Secretary of the Association, DK Verma presented the annual report and said that it is the proof of the unity and strength of the members of the Association that today this Association holds an important place in Chandigarh. On this occasion, newly elected President SP Batra also praised the work of DK Verma, who was made General Secretary for the third consecutive time. Former Senior Vice President DP Singh was also present on this occasion. On this occasion, mementoes were presented by the association to the outgoing president LK Arora along with Harmandeep Singh and KR Kumar. In the end, Finance Secretary of the Association, VK Gupta expressed his gratitude to everyone.
