Rana couple did not get relief from court in Hanuman Chalisa case, hearing on bail application postponed till April 29

The Rana couple will have to remain in jail till April 29.


The Hanuman Chalisa issue of Maharashtra has been making a lot of headlines across the country for the past few days. In this case, independent MP Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the court. Now the hearing on the bail applications of Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana has been postponed till April 29. During the hearing today, the government side sought time to respond, on which the court ordered to respond on April 29.


The Director General of Police of Maharashtra will give a report in the Navneet Rana case to the Chief Secretary of the state by evening. On behalf of the Lok Sabha Secretary, the Chief Secretary of the state has been ordered to submit a report on Navneet Rana’s case within 24 hours. According to sources, the government will give its report on the allegations leveled against him in the Navneet Rana case, in which he will claim that all the allegations of Navneet Rana are baseless. According to Maharashtra government sources, the letter from the Union Home Ministry has been received by the Lok Sabha Secretariat.

In this letter, a reply has been sought from the Maharashtra government on the allegations made by Navneet Rana. Maharashtra DGP will prepare the report and the Chief Secretary will submit this report to the Central Government. This report will be sent via email in 24 hours. Navneet Rana’s allegation of taunting the police and getting upset due to being a Dalit is completely wrong. If Navneet Rana’s Dalit allegations are proved wrong, then Maharashtra government can take action against Navneet Rana.

This means now Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana will have to remain in jail till April 29. An FIR has been registered against Rana couple under section 15A and 353 of IPC and section 135 of Bombay Police Act. And at the same time, section 124A i.e. sedition has been imposed. In which Navneet Rana is accused of challenging the government system.

MP Navneet Rana, arrested for reciting Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray’s house, is making a lot of headlines. The High Court has dismissed the petition for registration of FIR against him. Navneet Rana has been reprimanded for having Hanuman Chalisa in a public place. The court said that the responsibility of those in public life is more.
