Rain shadows India-South Africa ODI match

Lucknow, October 5 (Agency)Rain may disrupt the first ODI between India and South Africa to be played here on Thursday. On Wednesday, a day before the match, heavy rain knocked in Lucknow. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain throughout the day in Lucknow on the day of the match i.e. 6th October. In such a situation, this ODI match can be affected by rain. Earlier in the year 2020, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the T20 match played in Ikana also had to be canceled. At that time also this match was to be with South Africa itself. The management of Ekana Stadium says that the stadium’s drainage system is state-of-the-art and rainwater can be removed from the ground within 30 minutes to make it playable.
