Production will start again in Ropar thermal unit, power supply will be normal in Punjab

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has said that the power supply situation will improve across Punjab today. A unit of the Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Plant in Ropar, which was shut down for a month for annual maintenance, will start production from Thursday and the Talwandi Sabo Power Limited plant in Mansa (closed due to a fault) on Friday. Production will start in the morning. PSPCL CMD Baldev Singh Saran said that it will meet the increase in power demand and the power supply situation will return to normal. Rural areas and industrial consumers of the state are facing power failure for two days.
