Premature retirement orders of 9 corrupt employees of Kashmir government

The government has ordered the premature retirement of nine employees of the Housing and Urban Development Department on charges of corruption. It is being told that the Union Territory Government has taken this action under Article 226 (2) of the Civil Services Regulations. A list of the names of the officers and employees who were given premature retirement on the basis of allegations of corruption has also been released. These include Mehrajuddin Buza, building officer in Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Ghulam Mohiuddin, then executive officer in Anantnag Municipal Committee, in-charge assistant sanitation officer Shopian Shabbir Ahmed Wani, Sanitary Supervisor of Doda Municipal Committee Zakir Ali, Binhal Dona Municipal Committee head assistant Abdul K Latif Sr. Assistant Sukesh Kumar.

Apart from these, Thakur Das, the then electrician of Reasi and Shigufta Ali Fazli and Gauhar Ali Tuggu, the secretary of Urban Local Directorate, Srinagar, have also been accused of being involved in corruption. Let us inform that the state administration had taken such action earlier as well. Some officers have also been sacked.
