Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday wrote a blog dedicated to his mother on the occasion of her 100th birthday. The Prime Minister also met his mother Hiraben in Gujarat and took her blessings. Modi wrote in the blog that his mother always inspired him to take a strong resolve and focus towards the welfare of the poor, which is the motive of many welfare schemes of his government. Modi said his mother was overjoyed when the BJP chose him as the chief minister of Gujarat in 2001 and said, “I don’t understand your work in the government, but all I want is you.” Never take a bribe. Modi recalled that his father had brought his son Abbas home after the untimely demise of his close friend. On Eid, mother used to prepare dishes of her choice for Abbas. Modi wrote in the blog, ‘My mother is as ordinary as she is extraordinary. Just like every mother is.
