PM can’t hear anything except the voices of his ‘friends’: Rahul Gandhi

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the new ‘Agneepath’ scheme for recruitment in the three services, alleging that he cannot hear anything except the voices of his “friends”. At the same time, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi demanded that this scheme should be withdrawn immediately. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, ‘Agneepath – youth rejected, agricultural law – farmers rejected, demonetisation – economists rejected, GST – traders rejected.’ He alleged that the Prime Minister does not understand what the people of the country want because he does not hear anything except the voices of his ‘friends’.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi tweeted, ‘Not even 24 hours have passed that the BJP government had to change the rules of new army recruitment. Meaning, the scheme is being forced on the youth in haste. He said, ‘Narendra Modi ji, withdraw this scheme immediately, appoint and give results in the stalled recruitment of Air Force. Do army recruitment (by giving age relaxation) as before.

Anti-Agneepath movement reflects unemployment crisis in India: KTR

Hyderabad: As protests turned violent in many parts of the country against the Centre’s new ‘Agneepath’ scheme for recruitment of defense personnel, Telangana Information Technology and Industry Minister K. T. Rama Rao on Friday said that this movement reflects the problem of unemployment in the country. Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, tweeted, “The violent protests against this ‘Agniveer’ scheme show the magnitude of the unemployment crisis in the country and open (people’s) eyes.” First playing with the farmer of the country and now playing with the jawan of the country.
