Pakistani terrorists killed in encounter in South Kashmir identified

SRINAGAR, APRIL 23 (AGENCY)

Two Pakistani terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) organization, who were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday, have been identified. They were involved in terrorist activities since 2018. The police gave this information on Sunday.

Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar tweeted, “The slain JeM terrorists have been identified as Sultan Pathan and Zabiullah, both residents of Pakistan. He was active in Kulgam, Shopian districts since 2018. Kumar said that incriminating material, arms and ammunition including two AK rifles, seven AK magazines and nine grenades were recovered from them. The encounter took place in Mirhama area of ​​Kulgam on Saturday when security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation on the basis of intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists.
