Pakistani drone shot down in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua, 7 magnetic bombs and 7 grenades recovered

A Pakistani drone carrying a payload was shot down shortly after it entered Indian territory from across the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Sunday. Seven magnetic bombs and an equal number of grenades have been recovered from Pakistani drones. A police spokesman said that the search team noticed movement of a drone along the border in Talli Hariya Chak area of ​​Rajbagh police station area in the morning and opened fire on it. He said the drone fell down after being fired from the ground. He said that search teams were sent to the area to stop the continuous drone activities from across the border.

Police say that Pakistan wants to damage the Amarnath Yatra and because of these malicious intentions, it sent sticky bombs and grenades via drone. Weapons bundled with drones have also been recovered at Tali Hariya Chakk village in Kathua district, police said. Jammu and Kashmir Police said that some items were also attached to the drone, which was investigated by bomb disposal experts. Investigation revealed that 7 sticky bombs and 7 UBGL grenades were attached to the drone.

SSP Ramesh Kotwal told that this drone has come from Pakistan only. Bomb disposal squad from Jammu also reached the spot. The SSP also told that the drone looks like two batteries and something is written on it in Chinese language. A team of experts has come from Jammu to investigate all this.
