Opposition accuses government of not preparing political agenda: Dushyant

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Saturday targeted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Congress party, saying that politics on floods is the work of small-minded people. In this time of natural disaster, we all have to work unitedly, only then we will be able to save the loss of life and property. He said that the government had already increased the provision of Rs. 1100 crore from Rs. 300 crore for flood and drought protection. Accusing the government of not preparing by the opposition is just a political agenda. This is not the time to do politics. He said that our first target is to evacuate the people who are trapped in the houses built in the fields due to flood water and take them to safer places. If necessary, with the help of helicopter, the work of delivering food to the people and evacuating those trapped in the flood will be done. Apart from this, first of all, dry ration, food and drinking water, medicines should be provided to the people trapped in the flood affected areas. He said that wherever there was loss of life and property, it was being assessed and the state government would compensate the flood victims.
Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala visited the villages affected by the rise in Yamuna water level in Palwal’s Khadar area on Saturday to take stock of them. On this occasion, he visited the flood affected areas where he gave necessary guidelines to the officials and assured the affected people that he was standing with them. On this occasion, Tigaon MLA Rajesh Nagar, former minister Harsh Kumar, JJP Palwal District President Devendra Saurot, State Vice President of Kisan Cell Sukhram Dagar, Palwal DC Neha Singh, SP Lokendra Singh, SDM Shashi Vasundhara, Health Department, Agriculture Department accompanied him on this occasion. Officers and employees of other departments including Revenue Department, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department were present.
