Husband and wife arrested in connection with the theft at Sonam Kapoor’s Delhi home

Actress Sonam Kapoor A couple has been arrested by the police in connection with the theft at the mother-in-law’s house. The names of the accused are Naresh and Aparna, who are husband and wife. Aparna works as a nurse, whose Sonam Kapoor’s mother-in-law Sarla Had to come to Kapoor’s house. They gradually stole 2.47 crores by mixing jewelery and cash. Sonam Kapoor’s mother-in-law’s house is on Amrita Shergill Marg in New Delhi. Aparna looks after the mother-in-law and her husband Naresh is an accountant in a private firm in Shakarpur.

A senior police officer said that the Crime Branch of Delhi Police along with a team of Special Staff Wing of New Delhi district raided Sarita Vihar on Tuesday night. They have arrested both Aparna and her husband.
Police said that further investigation is on and most of the people working at the house on Amrita Shergill Marg have been questioned. The FIR has been registered under Section 381 (theft of property of owner by clerk or servant) of the Indian Penal Code.
Sonam and her husband had complained that some cash and jewelery worth Rs 2.4 crore had been stolen from their house. The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that the couple came to know about the theft on February 11, but they complained to the police on February 23.
