Nuh violence was planned: Vij

Home Minister Anil Vij said that the Nuh violence was pre-planned and shots were fired by climbing the mountain. Similarly, stones were collected on the terraces and fronts were built. Information about all these is being taken and action will be taken on all of them.

Vij was talking to reporters here on Friday. He said that in the investigation conducted so far, it has become clear that the incident of violence in Nuh was planned. There were lathis, barricades were formed and bullets were fired. Somebody has already made arrangements for this. This has been done with planning and police will go to the depth of it. He said that action will be taken on any case registered in connection with the Nuh violence and action will be taken under the bulldozer as well if needed. He said that statements of people are being taken and CCTV footage is being scrutinised. He has also urged the journalists who went for coverage at that time to provide the video and feed to the officials so that further action can be taken. In response to the question asked regarding intelligence input, he said that who had what intelligence input, what level it was, who was told, it will be investigated. Instructions have been given by him to conduct an inquiry in this regard, at what level there was input, if there was input then at what level the concerned person told whom. Regarding a stringing operation, he said that an inspector is heard saying something. That video has been sent by him to the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department.

Nuh SP replaced: The first blame for the violence in Nuh has fallen on the Nuh SP. The government has changed the SP of Nuh after all-round gritty. SP Varun Singhal was on leave on the day the violence took place in Nuh. It is being said that three days before the violence, the SP went on leave despite CID’s input. Regarding which the government has taken this decision.

102 FIRs so far

Home Minister Anil Vij said that police is continuously deployed in Nuh and so far 102 FIRs have been registered and 202 people have been arrested. Vij told reporters that 80 people have been detained. He said that the police is working on the principle that ‘the innocent should not be punished and the guilty should not be spared’.
