Now the lamp will not stay at Paswan’s bungalow

New Delhi (Agency) :The Delhi High Court on Thursday refused to interfere in the eviction of Lok Sabha MP Chirag Paswan from the bungalow allotted to his late father Ram Vilas Paswan. Justice Yashwant Verma while dismissing the petition filed by Chirag’s mother Reena Paswan said that he will not stop the process which has already started at this stage. The petitioner’s counsel had sought four months’ time from the court to vacate the bungalow at Janpath in the heart of the national capital, citing “practical difficulties”. The counsel for the petitioner also argued that a museum has been set up in the memory of the late Ram Vilas Paswan in the bungalow and several artefacts are also present there. The court told the counsel for the petitioner, ‘Get out sir. The process has started. Others are also waiting. On the other hand, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan on Thursday expressed his disappointment over the manner in which his family was evicted from the government bungalow at Janpath by the government. Chirag said that he has not been provided with any alternative government accommodation, which he is entitled to as a member of Parliament.
