Now the hydrogen car is coming, once the tank is full, it will run 600 KM, will cost Rs 2 per kilometer

new Delhi:

Even though fuel prices are rising in the country and this is causing widespread public discontent. Meanwhile, today Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari Green Hydrogen Car Reached Parliament House by car. This is the first car of its kind in India, which will run on green hydrogen. Under the pilot project, the minister reached Parliament House from his residence in a car this morning. Once the tank is full, 600 km can be traveled, which will cost Rs 2 per kilometer. Pilot project has started. Its tank gets full within 5 minutes.

.

In the visuals, the minister can be seen sitting in the front seat of the car next to the driver. The white colored car has a green number plate, which is also used in electric vehicles.

Regarding this, Nitin Gadkari said that India’s first hydrogen based Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Toyota Mirai was launched earlier this month. He also shared a video on how green hydrogen can power a car. Green Hydrogen is efficient and environment friendly to make India’s energy sector self-reliant.

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that 70% of the cost of making green hydrogen is of power. Power will become cheaper. Leave petrol diesel.. our estimate will come a little more than electric to Rs 2 per kilometer. Electric is Re 1 per kilometer. Petrol is Rs.10. There will be plenty of water. Power will be one and a half rupees to two rupees per unit. If hydrogen and oxygen are separated from water, then the hydrogen will have to be compressed. About 5 and a half kg of hydrogen will come in a green hydrogen car. He further said that by separating the glass metal and plastic from the organic waste which is the waste, putting that waste in the bio-digest and preparing methane will also prepare green hydrogen from it. Green hydrogen is made from water or organic waste. The Government of India has started the mission of only 3 thousand crores of hydrogen. Now we will become a country exporting hydrogen energy.

Currently, the price of green hydrogen is around $ 5 per kg. The challenge to get the idea of a hydrogen car off the ground is also to bring the price down to $1 per kg.

Significantly, the minister had announced in January that he himself would use a hydrogen-powered car. He had said that Japan’s Toyota company has given me a vehicle that runs on green hydrogen. I myself will use it as a pilot project (on alternative fuels).” Today’s exercise for a better tomorrow.
