“Not shocked”: Biden on Putin challenger Wagner chief’s death

Washington: Wagner Group chief Prigozhin has died in a plane crash in Russia. This plane had flown from Moscow and was going to St. Petersburg. A total of 10 people were aboard this plane along with Prigozhin. Russian officials said 10 people were killed in the plane crash, including Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Biden said – I am not surprised..
US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that he was “not surprised” by the news that Yevgeny Prigozhin may have died in a plane crash in Russia. Biden said, “I don’t really know what happened, but I’m not surprised.”

After taking an exercise class with his family near Lake Tahoe, Biden told reporters, “It rarely happens in Russia that something big happens and President Vladimir Putin doesn’t have a hand in it.”

He added, “But I don’t know enough to know the answer to what might have happened to Putin’s former powerful henchman.”

It is also being said that two explosions were heard before the plane crash. Due to this, the suspicion of attack on the aircraft is also being raised. According to Russian state media, Prigozhin’s name was on the passenger list of the plane, which crashed northwest of Moscow.
