Coahuila closed 2021 with 13 armed attacks against its police corporations; the last attack was recorded on New Year’s Eve.
The Secretary of Public Security of the State of Coahuila (SSP) reported that on Friday two units, one from the Criminal Investigation Agency and the other from the Special Operations Group, were shot at by a group of civilians
Seven police officers were transported in both units, who were unharmed.
The events were recorded while a surveillance operation was being carried out on federal highway number 2, “La Ribereña”, between the municipalities of Guerrero and Hidalgo.
According to the information provided by the authorities, the armed civilians fled through the gaps, with no people being detained so far.
