If Novak Djokovic is not vaccinated, the Serbian player will not be able to play the Indian Wells Masters 1000. So clear and forceful is the matter. As happened in the Australian Open, Djokovic will not be able to compete if he is not vaccinated and in the American tournament they will not make any exceptions nor will they allow all the fuss that arose in Australia.

“With health and safety as the tournament’s top priority, the BNP Paribas Open will require a valid proof of full vaccination to enter the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for the tournament,” reads the tournament press release.

The Indian Wells Masters 1000 will take place from March 10 to 20 and is the first ATP 1,000 tournament of the season. It takes place in California, United States, and its current champion is Cameron Norrie in the men’s category and Paula Badosa in the women’s category.

You have to remember that Indian Wells is a tournament that Djokovic has won five times, the same as Roger Federer and two more than Rafa Nadal, who has three in his entire career. Precisely the Spaniard commented a few days ago after winning in Australia that his goal was to play in Acapulco and also in Indian Wells. Djokovic, if he doesn’t get vaccinated, he will be out of a major tournament again.
