New hockey pavilion will be built at Navdeep Stadium at a cost of 3.28 crores

An amount of Rs 3.28 crore will be spent on the construction of a new hockey pavilion equipped with state-of-the-art facilities at Navdeep Stadium. DC Dr. Manoj Kumar told that this amount has been approved by the government. The construction work will be started after completing other formalities. After visiting Navdeep Stadium on Saturday, he said that the proposed hockey pavilion will be built according to the new parameters for the convenience of the players and spectators. He said that apart from the hockey pavilion, Navdeep Stadium would also be renovated afresh by spending an additional amount of Rs 90 lakh. Rs 66 lakh will be spent on repairing and painting the roof, floor, window, hostel, main gate and toilet in the stadium. And Rs 24 lakh will be spent on the repair of badminton hall, gym, lawn tennis and skating area. The DC directed the officials of the PWD department to start this work at the earliest. The District Sports Officer was asked to monitor the quality of the construction work.
