National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for the post of President Draupadi Murmu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. Prime Minister Modi himself gave this information in a tweet. He shared pictures from this meeting. Modi said, ‘Met Draupadi Murmu ji. His candidature for the post of President is being appreciated across the country and by all sections of the society. His understanding of the problems on the ground and his vision for India’s development is excellent. Murmu arrived in Delhi today after being declared the NDA’s presidential candidate. Murmu (64) will file her nomination papers on Friday in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and top party leaders. Voting for the presidency will take place on July 18. The term of current President Ram Nath Kovind ends on July 24.
