Musewala murder case: Government ready to get an inquiry by the sitting judge of the High Court; Anti gangster task force raids, dumped data of one lakh mobile phones picked up!

Popular singer-turned-politician Sidhu Musewala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday. To know the facts behind the murder and the opposition parties blamed the AAP government for the ‘deteriorating’ law and order situation. At the same time, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has said that the culprits of the Sidhu Musewala murder case will not be spared. He has said that the government is ready to conduct an inquiry by the sitting judge of the High Court. He said a probe would also be conducted into the security breach of the slain singer. On the other hand, heavy police force has been deployed at the Civil Hospital in Mansa and Sidhu Musewala’s house in Musa village. The police have collected dump data within a kilometer area of ​​the crime scene which could be of around one lakh mobile phone numbers. The family members of Sidhu Musewala have demanded an inquiry by the sitting High Court judge in the matter and said that The Punjab government should also ensure the involvement of CBI and NIA in the investigation of this incident. He has demanded fixing the responsibility of the police officer who reviewed the security of Sidhu Musewala and ordered the reduction in his security. He also demanded a public apology from the Punjab DGP for linking his son’s death to the gang war.

On the other hand, the Anti-Gangster Task Force, formed for a special operation against gangsters, is conducting raids in this case. ADGP Pramod is monitoring the raids. DIG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and AIG Gurmeet Chauhan are also in the team. Meanwhile, Moosewala’s fans staged a protest outside the Civil Hospital today and demanded speedy action against the attackers.

Police checking CCTV footage

According to the information, Punjab Police is analyzing the footage from five different CCTVs in which the movement of Moosewala and the attackers was recorded. Gunshots can also be heard in a video confirmed by the police. In the video, a car and a jeep are seen following Sidhu Musewala’s vehicle before he was shot dead. According to police, both the vehicles stopped Musewala’s jeep, following which there was heavy exchange of fire.
