GST raids are going on at some other places including Piyush Jain’s ancestral residence of Kannauj. According to sources, Piyush Jain has 3 houses in Kannauj. From there about Rs 107 crore more cash has been found. So far, a total of Rs 284 crore cash is reported to have been recovered.

Sources said that SBI officials have been called to count the money. Large quantities of gold and silver were recovered. Sandalwood oil, which is used to make perfume, is also found in large quantities. Not only this, documents of properties worth crores have also been recovered.
According to the source, Piyush Jain told the GST officials that over the years he had collected cash by selling ancestral gold as he wanted to expand his business. However, the information about who sold the gold is not able to be given. Both the sons of Piyush are also being interrogated. Raid continues from December 24 at Piyush’s place.
Earlier information was received that money was hidden in the walls, beds, floors and basement of Jain’s house. Workers were called for key makers and vandalism.
Let us inform that he was arrested on Sunday after unaccounted cash worth Rs 200 crore was recovered in the raids of the Income Tax Department lying at Piyush Jain’s house and other places. The team of Income Tax Department and DGGI caught this cash by raiding many places including Kanpur of Kannauj’s big perfume businessman Piyush Jain.

In Kanpur itself, Rs 177 crore has been recovered from Piyush Jain’s house in Kanpur. It has been told that gold was also recovered after cash from the house. The help of note counting machines was taken to count the immense wealth found at Piyush Jain’s house.
According to news agency PTI-Bhasha, Joint Commissioner of GST in Kanpur Surendra Kumar told that Piyush Jain has been arrested from Kanpur on charges of tax evasion. Piyush can be taken from Kanpur to Ahmedabad for further proceedings.
Another official said on the condition of anonymity that during the recent raids at various premises of Piyush Jain on Thursday, a total of Rs 257 crore, including gold and silver, were recovered. He said that the recovered amount is allegedly related to sending the goods by a goods transporter with fake invoices and without e-way bill.
