The Punjab Police on Tuesday said that the police have so far arrested eight persons in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala. Police said the accused have been arrested on charges of providing accommodation, reconnaissance (reiki) and other types of facilities to those who shot at the singer. The police also said that they have also identified four shooters who carried out the crime. The arrested accused have been identified as Sandeep Singh alias Kekra, a resident of Sirsa in Haryana, Manpreet Singh alias Manna, a resident of Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, and Manpreet Bhau, a resident of Dhapai, Faridkot. Apart from this, Saraj Mintoo, resident of Dode Kalsia village in Amritsar, Prabhdeep Sidhu alias Pabbi, resident of Takhat Mal in Haryana, Monu Dagar, resident of Rewli village in Sonipat, Haryana, Pawan Bishnoi, resident of Fatehabad in Haryana and Naseeb have been identified. Musewala was shot dead on May 29 by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district.
